About this role…

The Accountant will be working closely with the client to support the business and manage the following tasks:

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Financial Statements & Tax Returns for Individuals, Sole Traders, Companies, Partnerships, and Trusts
  
• Preparation of BAS & IAS Statements
  
• Reconciling internal workpapers and accounting files via Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, etc
  
• Attending to client queries, resolving taxation matters
  
• Preparing advices on superannuation, Land tax, Capital Gains Tax, Fringe benefits tax
  
• Assisting in year end tax planning
  
• Providing ad-hoc support to Senior Accountants & Managers
  
  Qualifications / Skills:
  
• One to Two Years’ Experience within Professional Practice
  
• Experience across MYOB (AccountRight & MYOB Essentials), Xero, and QuickBooks software
  
• A degree of technical knowledge & understanding of tax requirements
  
• Good interpersonal & time management skills
  
• A strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills (both written & verbal)
  
• A willingness to learn, ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment
